From food to floor, Foosia, Asia Fresh strives for sensible living principles because we believe in change for the good, healthy living and social responsibility. This is only possible with like-minded community partners who help make great things possible, like our on-site garden and our use of earth friendly materials wherever possible. Tony Grows Kale
Responsible for the design and development of our raised bed patio gardens, is Tony Kasowski is the founder and operator of Tony Grows Kale. His focus is on ecologically and chemical free fruit and vegetable garden/orchards. He brings to Foosia, Asia Fresh his expertise as a former manager of an organic vegetable seed company and farmer. Currently Tony also serves as an instructor of an urban farming program at a local community college and heads up the community garden at St. Vincent de Paul Society.
We hand-picked Recycled City to run our composting program because they share our passion for supporting create abundant local farms. They make composting and recycling easy by providing air-tight buckets, bags of Bokashi, weekly pick-up services, and more - all designed to regenerate urban farmland and creating fresh, local food. Thanks to them, nearly 90 percent of Foosia, Asia Fresh’s non-recyclable waste is composted.
Peter Thomas Designs
We work with the furniture craftsmen of Scottsdale-based Peter Thomas Designs to provide you with eco-friendly restaurant furnishings. Designer and Crafter, Peter Thomas Moosbrugger only works with reclaimed antique wood to create furniture that is not only sustainable, but a piece of American history. For example, for Foosia, Asia Fresh, he custom built a one-of-a-kind dining room tabletop reclaimed from a late 1800s Virginia cotton warehouse.
